👋 Welcome to the first-ever composer competition organized by Supervision.

This competition will be featured on the Supervision YouTube channel. By participating, you can compete to create the best game soundtrack, win the $50 prize, and most importantly, have your music heard by thousands of people.

Concept

After a pre-selection process among all applicants, 5 finalists will be selected. They will receive the same prompt and create an original game soundtrack that is under 1 minute long.

Then, a jury of indie game developers will listen, react, and score each track.

Pre-Selection

There will be a pre-selection among all applicants.

Requirements:

Your portfolio must include at least 4 original tracks composed specifically for a game
You must be a real human composer
The originality and quality of your portfolio will be considered

If Selected

You will receive:

The prompt for the competition track
A submission form to upload your track

Example Prompt (not the actual prompt):

The official prompt will be something like:

“A mysterious fantasy RPG main theme with an emotional and adventurous tone. Inspired by Zelda. It should feel memorable and slightly nostalgic.”

All selected participants will receive the exact same prompt.

Track Rules

Your soundtrack must be:

Under 1 minute
Original
Made specifically for this competition
Aligned with the given prompt

Your track cannot be:

Previously released on streaming platforms
From your existing portfolio
Someone else’s work
Copyright-protected material
Fully AI-Generated

You must own full rights to your submission. We may request project files to verify originality.

Jury

The jury will include indie game developers from around the world.

Each jury member has released at least one game, and their names/games will be shown in the video.

Each jury member will:

Listen to the tracks
React on video
Score each track out of 10

They will score based on:

How well the track fits the prompt
Originality
Overall hype

All jury members will be recorded.

Winner

The composer with the highest total score wins.

The winner will be announced by email and on my website. If there is a tie, the tied composers will be voted on again.

Prize:

$50 cash prize
Feature in the YouTube video
Short interview at the end of the video

Bonus: Fan Favorite

There will also be a Fan Favorite.

Viewers of the YouTube video will be able to vote and support their favorite composer.
